Learn the history of the Earth at the Souterroscope des Ardoisières geological museum, based in Caumont l'Eventé (14). You will explore a gallery at 30 m underground.
The various stages of the formation of the Earth
The geological time intervals begin outside our site. The history of the Earth will be narrated to you from the beginning up to where it ends its formation through meteorite impacts.
You will also learn about the formation of oceans and continents. You will then discover the outbreak of life in all its diversity. The guided tour lasts for 1 hour, either in English or in French.

You can visit the Souterroscope des Ardoisières geological museum from February to November. A departure is planned every 12 minutes.
We welcome individuals, tourists, holidaymakers, schools and groups of people to our museum. We warmly welcome you to Caumont l'Eventé, (department of Calvados, between Saint-Lo, Bayeux, Vire and Caen).
